USE what you know about DNA to explain why a brown cat and a black cat's offspring might be a male black kitten ,a male brown kitten, and a female black and brown spotted kitten

THE ONE WHO WILL ANSWER WILL HAVE EXTRA MARK IN PARTICIPATION.

cause the parent is give the have of its dna to the offispring so it can be dominanat charater in the offespring
and eg if the mother brown and her kitten is brown thats mean that her kitten have only the recessive character and do not have the dominant character rr

the same in the famel black cat it has the dominant character of the black parent Rr

the kitten which is spotted it will be has 2 dominant character
1-from the browm cat RR
and from the black cat

the dominant character is RR
the recisseve is rr

excellent mariem you are sooo close to the complete right answer

i'll explain in details
the brown cat will be Rr
the black cat will be rr
so using the punnett square the offsprings will be Rr,Rr,rr,rr

so the resulted off spring will be one black kitten, and one brown kitten and the other Rr shows a special case of SHARING DOMINANCE where nither of the genes is dominant over the other but they share the charcters
so the female brown and black spotted kitten took the gene of the black and the brown chracter from both parents (this is a special case) where the combination of DNA in some offspring may show some special cases .
